Up-Island, Culinary Institute of America–trained chef Dan Sauer is making a name for himself with incredible sandwiches we hope he’ll never take off the menu, like the house-made pastrami and turkey favorite, the Liz Lemon.

It’s not a restaurant in the conventional sense, but the Net Result still gets your vote for the best seafood dining on the Island. The fish market offers take-out food only, so line up for an order of chowder, sushi, a steamed lobster dinner with fresh mussels, or clams in drawn butter. You may face stiff competition for a seat at one of the outdoor picnic tables, but with a hot plate of seafood and a view of the harbor, you’ll hardly mind. The Home Port in Menemsha offers beautiful sunset views, a raw bar, and a massive fisherman’s platter filled with all things seafood – a crowd pleaser since 1930.
