30 Years From the MVM Vault: The More Things Change...

“After the crush of a frantic and somewhat fractured summer season, the Island now moves to a quieter time of year, to the seasons of autumn and winter ahead when the rhythms of Vineyard life slow. There is more time to think about the future of Martha’s Vineyard, about whether this Island will act to control its own destiny or simply surrender to outside pressures of unbridled growth and overdevelopment on grounds that more is always better. Clearly the Vineyard cannot afford to just let it rip on all fronts and may the future be damned. That is a recipe for disaster.”
