Each year, Martha's Vineyard Magazine turns to its readers to find out what you relish most about the Island and which businesses are the very best at what they do. Please consider the more than fifty categories below, and vote for your favorites.

We'll publish the results in the July 2009 edition of Martha's Vineyard Magazine and on this website. Each business that receives the most votes in a category will receive an official certificate for display, recognizing its status as the Best of the Vineyard 2009.

Take a few moments to write in the names of those Island businesses, organizations and attractions that you feel should be recognized for excellence.

Please note: only one vote per person; and ballots with less than five categories filled in will not be counted. The integrity of the Best of the Vineyard relies on the integrity of each voter.

Only official ballots published in Martha's Vineyard Magazine, the Vineyard Gazette, and on this web page will be accepted. Limit one ballot per voter.

Written ballots are due by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2009, and must be postmarked no later than that date. Online balloting must be completed by midnight on March 31, 2009.

No purchase necessary. A free ballot is available at the Martha's Vineyard Magazine and Vineyard Gazette office in Edgartown.
